Delivery & Shipping

Furniture Express sells a wide variety of products and has many different methods of shipping various types of items to guests all across North America. Many shipping methods will vary based on size, type of product, and how easy it is to ship. Delivery times and rates may vary widely. Select orders may be subject to additional surcharge depending on detail of information provided at time of order about delivery.

Pickup:

We allow guests to pick items up in store or at a warehouse to generally receive the best possible rate. Come shop in store or online, as pickup or delivery can be arranged. If a pickup is scheduled in advance, help can be provided to load items into your truck. Straps or shipping supplies are not provided free of charge. Loading docks available at select locations.

Common Carrier Calculated Rates:

These rates are automatically calculated by USPS, UPS, and FedEx to get smaller packages to their destination. Items that ship common carrier are items like soaps, sheets, pillows, and sometimes small pieces of furniture.

 

Economy LTL & Pallet Rates:

Economy LTL or pallet shipping is a curbside service that usually takes longer than a common carrier. Many larger items require special care before being shipped directly to a guests home. We take great care in ensuring our packages arrive undamaged.

Expect economy LTL & pallet rate shipments to take anywhere from 1 - 4 weeks from time a completed item or order is shipped and a tracking number has been provided. Additional lead time is typical for production, picking, and packing of select items. Total lead time from order to delivery averages about 1-8 weeks, and in some cases may take longer.

LTL is an economy service that is delivered curbside to the home on a pallet; generally delivered in a semi truck, unless other service is requested. Please contact Furniture Express for national installation details, or special delivery requirements. Delivering larger items can be more involved and complicated than smaller packages.

Please contact Furniture Express about time frames prior to placing an order, as there are applicable restocking fees to returns on back ordered items. Please view our policies.

 

Local Delivery:

If you are located near or are having items delivered near a Furniture Express location, local delivery is offered. Setup options are available. Curbside options are delivered similar to a common carrier, where the item is dropped off curbside by a single driver.

Economy Delivery, Setup & Installation: $49.99 / Trip
Expedited Curbside: $99.99 / Order
Expedited  Delivery, Setup & Installation: $129.99 / Order
Bunk Bed Setup Surcharge: $49.99

Platform Bed Setup Surcharge: $39.99

Setup fees may apply to select items in order for Furniture Express to stay competitive with other online retailers. Many items are available brand new in box in store for easy transport home, or can be easily shipped directly to your home. These select items may be subject to setup fees if a setup is requested at time of pickup or delivery even though floor models may be displayed.

Removal:

Removal is currently limited to local service areas near stores. Please contact us if you have questions about our removal options. Rough descriptions are also provided on our Services & Product Protection page. 

 

Back Ordered Items:

Unfortunately items sometimes take longer to produce, or have parts that are back ordered in production. Back ordered items are not refundable without an applicable restocking fee, please see our policies for details. We do our best to stay in touch with guests every step of the way, and encourage guests to contact us first if strict deadlines are required. Often times, we can ensure timely fulfillment, but there are many factors involved. 

 

Inspecting Packages:

All shipping damage should be reported at time of delivery. If a package is received slightly damaged; Please note on the freight carriers paperwork "PACKAGE DAMAGED" and take photos of the shipping damage before the driver leaves. 

If an item is received significantly damaged; you may refuse delivery, so we can anticipate the items return. Take photos before the driver leaves, and report this issue to us right away. If this step is not followed, a refund or exchange will most likely be denied.

 

Damaged & Missing Parts:

Furniture Express is an expert freight handler specialized in furniture, but relies on a robust network of shipping partners. This allows us to ship products all over North America. Over generations of experience we have discovered optimal ways of shipping freight such as furniture, as well as the quality of brands to withstand consumer demands. If something appears damaged, or parts are missing, please contact us right away. We take guest satisfaction seriously and would like to assist you in trying to get replacements as quickly as possible.
